Kovai Kora Cotton Sarees - GI

Kovai Kora Cotton Sarees are blend of Kora Silk in warp and 2/100^smercerized cotton yarn in weft with grand thread work pallu and Butta in body.

Thread work in Pallu and Butta in body are woven with 2 ply of 2/100^s mercerized cotton yarn.  The design are woven with 240 hooks Jacquard machine.  The uniqueness of the saree is its crispy feel because of Gas mercerized yarn to interlace with gummy Kora silk yarn.  The quality bright color dyeing is ensured by using the water of Bhavani river which originate from western Ghats. The weavers  took 2 days to weave this saree.  These sarees are handwoven by the Tirupur area Handloom weavers.
