The Manamedu Cotton Sarees are woven by the traditional weavers from Manamedu, a tiny Village near Musiri in Tiruchirapalli District of Tamil Nadu.

In earlier days, these cotton sarees in fine quality of 100s x 100s were being produced by the weavers slowly migrated from VijayaNagar Empire. These sarees are hand woven using 80s cotton yarn as warp and 100s as well as 2/100s mercerised cotton yarn with elegant designs and colours by using Dobby machine.

The uniqueness of the Manamedu cotton sarees is that these sarees are of Light Weight woven in rich fancy colours having borders ranging from simple plain, Pettu as well as tie & dye designs and colourful Pallu fascinated to wear by all age groups.
